The Justin Perdue Quartet, featuring Steve MacLauchlan on saxes and Carlos Velez on percussion, join Justin and longtime collaborator bassist Jeremy Harlos: 6pm-8pm on Friday, September 6 at Drop-In Brewing in Middlebury, VT.

This adventurous band of seasoned jazzmen delves into everything from ballads and blues to modal jazz and funky soul as they push the envelope of improvisation with their unique repertoire of original compositions and post-bop standards.

Drop in and commemorate Drop-In Brewing’s first revolution around the sun. Drop-In will be serving pints all day accompanied with groovy live music in the evening. Nancy at the Grapevine Grille will be preparing beer-inspired culinary creations (Heart of Lothian chili, Red Dwarf house smoked pulled pork, Sunshine & Hoppiness chedder ale, and Lothian cake). In addition, we will be raffling items at the end of every hour. The grand prize winner will receive a growler and their choice of a The Vermont Flannel Co. koozie.

This one’s for the Kids!

Join us from 5:30 to 7:30, Tuesday, April 17th at a benefit for Junebug: a funky, not-for-profit resale store in downtown Middlebury, specializing in gently used maternity and children’s clothing. Junebug’s proceeds are donated to other non-profit organizations that provide services,education and support to young children. The celebration at Middlebury’s Town Hall Theater will feature delicious Haitian food (in honor of Junebug’s work in Haiti), a silent auction, and (last but not least) jazz music by the Justin Perdue Quartet.
